Fabric Care
The proper care of bed and bath linens is important and simple. Following these steps will not only prolong the life of your linens, but will also preserve their exceptional quality. Please reference the following guidelines as a guide only. Exact Formulas will be based on several factors including water quality, available water temperature, and laundry equipment.
TERRY
Sorting:
Bath towels and bath mats should be washed together in the same load, and hand towels and wash cloths should be washed together in the same load. Keep towels separate from other textiles.
Washing and Drying:
Make sure the washer is loaded to full capacity before processing the terry. For small stains, use a spot remover, as instructed by the chemical company.
Do not over dry the terry. The dryer heat should not exceed 185°F. Please allow a 5 minute cool down after drying, and the immediately remove all terry from the dryer.
Using Bleach:
Do not over bleach any load. Chlorine bleach should be used safely and carefully as it can weaken the fibers faster than hydrogen peroxide.
Machine Maintenance:
To prevent pulls and other damage, periodically check for burrs inside the washing machine and dryer and smooth out any roughness inside.
Laundry technicians should follow “proven best practices” when programming any washer or washer extractor. When titrating the load try and reach a final pH between 6.0 and 6.5. after sour and softening.
Chemical levels and quality of water should also be considered.
BEDDING
Sorting:
Sort fabrics by color and according to end use. To guarantee an optimum washing result, we recommend avoiding a material mix in the washing chamber. Keep separate from other textiles.
Washing and Drying:
New sheets should be washed at a full washer capacity and in a complete cycle.
For small stains, use a spot remover, as instructed by the chemical company.
To avoid wrinkles make sure to remove from washer and dryer upon completion of cycle. Once the linen is removed from the washer, send it to the dryer for 4 minutes for conditioning at 345°F, and cool down for 2 minutes. Make sure to cover the linen once its removed from the dryer. If conditioning is not done on property, extract your linen until your desired moisture level is found for finishing.
If you do not have enough time to finish your washed linen, make sure to cover the product until ready at the processing line to avoid wrinkles and drying it out.
Ironer:
Run the sheets at sufficient speed to remove moisture content from the product.
- Recommended ironing direction for sheets: “Lengthwise Top to Bottom."
- Recommended ironing direction for duvets: “Widthwise, Side to Side.
Never iron dried linens. The shrinkage rate of 100% cotton linens should be less than 5% depending on the fabric construction.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS
- Never overload the washing machine.
- Starch is not recommended since it reduces the life of the products and takes away the softness of the cotton.
- If and when bleaching is required, pour the bleach solution in the washer when the water is at full level and the linens are properly wet.
- Never leave linens (west or dry) in the washer or dryer.
